Answers before you get started.
Do I need to install Studio?
The browser PCB, schematic and footprint editors do not require a desktop installation. Start with a current desktop browser and a Studio account.
Can I work with KiCad files?
Studio uses a KiCad-based engine. Open PCB, schematic and footprint files in the relevant editor. For complex projects, use a project package that includes the dependent files.
Are my projects public?
Project repositories created through Studio are private. Public sharing links and team permissions are separate development work.
Which features are in early access?
PCB, schematic, footprint and auxiliary tools are in early access. Schematic editing in particular is still evolving. Keep an exported copy of critical work and verify your outputs.
When will subscriptions launch?
Prices are shown as planning drafts. Plan scope and launch date are not final. The current account creation flow does not take payments.
Does Studio include team collaboration or AI?
Team workspaces, sharing links, MCP and SchGen connections are on the roadmap. We do not present them as part of the current release.
