Read article ↗Use meaningful commits and independent backups to make project history easier to understand.
Instead of an ambiguous “final file” label, explain what changed. A message such as “Rework the power input” helps future reviews. Keep related changes together and unrelated work in separate commits.
Your browser design can change before the remote repository is updated. Check the save result. If a conflict is reported, export your current work and review the revision you want to continue from.
Record which design revision produced the manufacturing files. Associating the board, project settings and outputs with the same revision helps later investigations. Version history does not replace manufacturing checks.
Git history helps you follow design decisions. An independent project package provides a separate recovery path. Use both for important revisions and test that the backup can be reopened.
