From a new account to your first board: a short guide to the browser workspace.
Start with a workspace
Sign in to Studio to open the Projects page. Give your new project a short, meaningful name. Use a hyphen instead of spaces, such as sensor-board. The new repository is private and belongs to your account.
Create a blank board
The “Create blank board” action on the project page writes an initial PCB file to the repository and opens the editor. The first load downloads the engine files, which may take a moment depending on your connection.
Distinguish your file from its revision
The board in the editor belongs to a particular project commit. Browser edits and the saved repository revision are different states. Use the repository save flow when you finish, then reopen the design to verify the intended revision was saved.
Keep your own copy
Download a project package to keep a copy with its dependent files. Browser recovery is useful, but it can disappear when site data is cleared. Keep an independent backup of important work and check manufacturing outputs before use.
